CHoR two-year anniversary

Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU celebrated its second birthday in June, marking two years since the VCU Health System and Children’s Hospital came together to form the area’s only full-service children’s hospital — including the only pediatric emergency room in Central Virginia that offers 24-hour access to all pediatric specialists for the care of acutely ill and injured children.

This fall will mark another milestone when construction begins on a state-of-the-art ambulatory pavilion to meet the growing demand for outpatient pediatric services.
